I want to say so much.
Yet every time I see you,
I can never get the words to
blossom on my lips.
I take a deep breath as I take the stairs.
Climbing has been difficult,
but I realize each time,
descending the stairs is so much more
harder to control?
The air rushes past me in a
strong breeze.
Streching my muscles I can go further away from
so many things, but it brings me to places
that are closer to my heart.
Perhaps I may be going to places
that I would want to write songs about,
but I can't tell the difference between
dark and light.
I can feel the wind, but I am blind.
I can feel the pain.
Of a long sob rising up in my lungs like a jelly-fish
globular at the top and
tails below...
stings that leave burning sensations along my windpipe.
Did I find a rake to rake the dark thoughts out? no.
I froze it with icecream.
When a strong shot of inspiration
strikes your heart,
You can't even breathe.
The wind is knocked out,
your brain freezes and
your body spasms:
And you feel a rush of elation,
takes you to a peak like no other.
And yes, I'm depraved of all that.

Nice!!! Hey that jelly fish part was really very thoughtfull!
"Of a long sob rising up in my lungs like a jelly-fish
globular at the top and
tails below...
stings that leave burning sensations along my windpipe."
in those line you have perfectly captured how one feels when feeling from deep within try to come out. Those feelings sometimes get struct in throat and never come out of your mouth and thus choke you (as if that huge jelly fish's head has struck in your wind pipe!!!) and even if if one somehow manages to express those feelings, they leave thr burning marks all over your lungs (those venemous tentacles are very deadly).
the inability to express feelings in ones heart, wow! wat a nice theme for a poem! and most important of all, I never felt any meaninglessness in it! every single sentence was perfectly complimenting the former.
I often wondered how can someone as creative as you could ever face the "writers block"? but with this poem you have perfectly expressed that scenario! Amazing work Namrata San! Now I know why I always find commenting on your creations very facinating. You rule!
ARIGATOU!!!!!^_^ ^_^ ^_^
I am glad you liked the poem that I had to struggle to put together... Of most times one can write about anything but when in a block or entering one, you have a lot to say but never are able to. SO there is the origin of poetry and art! I am so Happy to get your generous reviews..I'm just an amateur at writing!! :P Hope to keep up to your expectations..!!
